These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CycleBuddy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

1. Who Can Use CycleBuddy

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or older where required by local law.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.

2. What We Will Never Do With Your Data

Because CycleBuddy handles sensitive health information, we want to be explicit here rather than bury it in the Privacy Policy:

  • We will never sell your personal or health data.
  • We will never share your cycle data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We will never use your menstrual data to build advertising profiles.
  • We will never share your data with third parties for any commercial purpose.

This is a core commitment of CycleBuddy, not just a legal clause.

3. What You Can Expect From Us

  • We will be transparent about how your data is used.
  • We will notify you before making any material changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
  • We will process account and data deletion requests within 7 business days.
  • We will strengthen our privacy infrastructure over time, including moving toward encrypted data storage where even we cannot access your health data.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose. The following are prohibited:

  • Uploading or sharing unlawful, harmful, abusive, or exploitative content.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or impersonating other people.
  • Attempting to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to extract the Service's source code or data.
  • Using the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

5. Child Safety

CycleBuddy has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We will remove violating content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report to appropriate authorities when required by law. To report a safety concern, contact .

6. Health Information Disclaimer

CycleBuddy is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device or medical service. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. Do not rely on CycleBuddy as your sole source of health information.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

If the Service includes paid plans, subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed through your Google Play account. Refunds are subject to Google Play's billing and refund policies. We will always be transparent about what is free and what is paid before you are charged.

8. Intellectual Property

CycleBuddy and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, except for content you lawfully provide. You retain ownership of any personal data and content you submit. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

9. Account Deletion and Data

You may request full account and data deletion at any time by emailing from your registered email address. We will process verified requests within 7 business days. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is deleted and what, if any, is retained for legal compliance purposes.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, pose a safety risk, or misuse the Service. We will give you notice where reasonably possible. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We will always work to fix issues promptly but cannot guarantee availability at all times.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CycleBuddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via the app or email before the change takes effect. Continued use after notification means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
